CLUB INFORMATION

Members!

The Board of Directors of the Stayner Granite Curling Club Incorporated would like to welcome back all returning members as well as the new members. Our club depends entirely on volunteer involvement to make things happen and thankfully, we do have a very active membership willing to assist throughout the curling season. To this end, the club offers a variety of leagues and fun bonspiels throughout the curling season which are both inexpensive and enjoyable.

During the past 3 seasons, a number of larger repair projects were completed to upgrade and improve the appearance and functionality of the building which included:

(a) insulated sand-base flooring under the ice surface.
(b) new lighting over the ice surface.
(c) New lockers
(d) all 64 curling stones reconditioned
(e) New lounge chairs.

The above improvements were made possible through funding grants from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Town of Wasaga Beach, the material and labour support from Clearview Township, plus many volunteer hours.

Since two-thirds of our members have access to E-mail, the Directors of the club decided to follow other organizations who use the internet to pass on information to their members. The postal service will still be used to send important information to the remaining members who do not have e-mail.

Finally, we need your assistance. The main revenue stream for our club comes through membership. We are asking members attending registration dates or the Open House, to bring along a guest, a friend or neighbour. Introduce your guests around and to other members and at the same time enjoy the wine and cheese during OPEN HOUSE.
